FlightFactor Previews 787 PFD

The team from FlightFactor has taken to their Twitter account to preview their upcoming Boeing 787 Dreamliner rendition for X-Plane 11. The aircraft addon is being highly anticipated within the X-Plane community since the initial announcement as the developers have made very promising statements regarding the quality of the product.

All three previews can be seen below, all representing the PFD in different stages of flight. The previews showcase the main aspects of the screen as well as those smaller details like the Angle-of-attack indicator.

Everything currently suggests that the developers are finalizing their work on the 3D model of the aircraft while working hard on the systems. We deduced this from the fact, that the developers have in the past already previewed the 3D model of the aircraft multiple times with textures present, however, this is the first time we got to see the aircraft systems.

Unfortunately, the developers did not feel comfortable sharing any closer release date or pricing details in the post just yet.

Alongside the 787 Pro, the developers are also currently working on bringing the long-awaited Boeing 777 v2 to X-Plane 11. If you want to learn more about both addons, you can read through our other article covering the FlightFactor’s seminar at FSExpo 2021 in which the developers have addressed both aircraft addons.

In regards to the addon background, the developers have mentioned in the announcement post that the FlightFactor 787 Pro will conquer new heights in complexity, usability, and variety of features. Furthermore, we can expect the next level of texturing and 3D rendering quality. It is also going to be the first product in the “Pro” series by FlightFactor.
