FlightFactor’s 767-400 Release Possibility Increasing

FlightFactor has earlier this month disclosed that the 767-400 for X-Plane release possibility is increasing, suggesting progress is made.

Only confirming the development officially last month, FlightFactor has taken to their Facebook page to share a single new preview of the upcoming 767-400 expansion for X-Plane. The post is claiming that the possibility of the 767-400 release is increasing, assuming the developers are making good progress on it.

Whilst we could argue why would the team confirm the development and then say that the release possibility is increasing, let’s focus on the good news. The preview showcases the flight deck of the aircraft with functional displays, which is a new thing from the last time.

The 767-400 is going to be an expansion to the currently-available Boeing 767 rendition for X-Plane. We assume the expansion will release for X-Plane 12 despite it is being previewed in X-Plane 11.

FlightFactor has had a Boeing 767 for X-Plane in their portfolio for a very long time. It does not however include the -400 variant. The -400 variant is very different from the others, especially when it comes to the flight deck. As you can see in the preview, it is more related to the 777 rather than the other 767s.

FlightFactor seems to be picking up more items on their backlog. Whilst the community is still anticipating the release of 777v2, the developers have already announced 787 and now the 767-400.

For now, FlightFactor did not reveal any closer release timeframe or pricing details for the 767-400 for X-Plane.
