With FlightFX, the next developer has confirmed its update strategy for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. They promise that any add-on initially purchased for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (MSFS 2020) will be upgraded to its MSFS 2024 counterpart at no additional cost for at least six months from the simulator’s launch on November 19, 2024.
This means popular products from FlightFX, such as KDPA (DuPage Airport), KPWK (Chicago Executive Airport), and the HJet, can be freely upgraded for the new simulator until May 19, 2025. Upcoming releases, including the C750, C750 Plus, CL35, P180, and P180 Evo, are also part of this policy. After May 20, 2025, a potential upgrade fee may be introduced.
Future-Proofing Aircraft Add-ons
While free upgrades are promised, they have clarified that aircraft add-ons for MSFS 2024 will not simply be direct ports of their MSFS 2020 versions. Instead, these upgrades will feature newly tweaked and enhanced aircraft that fully utilize MSFS 2024’s more advanced capabilities. This leads to an improved, immersive, and seamless experience for the owners of their diverse range of products.

Looking Ahead
The developer team is committed to listening to its community and supporting both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 users not just by delivering premium products but also by connecting with all fellow flight simulation enthusiasts.
