FlightSim Studio Shares Development Update Regarding MSFS 2024

The developer FlightSim Studio, responsible for the popular E-Jets series and Boeing 727 for Microsoft Flight Simulator has shared some new information regarding the future development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This information has been shared via their website a few days ago.

Boeing 727

The developer starts the development update by thanking the community for continuous support throughout this year. After that, they moved immediately to the Boeing 727, which was released as an experimental version of the 727 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 as a thank-you to the community.

It is important to note that the 727 was in a better stage from the beginning compared to the earlier released E-Jets, and the transition was quite simple. However, no support is currently offered for this experimental version of the aircraft, and some features are missing.

Some of the known issues in the MSFS 2024 version of the Boeing 727 are that the pop-up windows do not work, the ground power does not work, and different spawn situations, like the “on GPU” and “on APU”, do not work either. GNS-XLS is not available in this experimental version either, and there are some visual errors, such as darker displays and brighter exterior lights.

Future of the E-Jets Series

The development of the E-Jets Series currently faces some challenges, as the add-on barely worked in the new simulator version. A compatibility version was in development, but the next update of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 created more setbacks for this aircraft series.

With this in mind, the FlightSim Studio team announced that the development of the E-Jets for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is on-hold, as the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 development environment is challenging. Despite that, the focus is now going to be put on the long-promised custom autopilot and FMS, which will bring a better flight management computer, as well as VNAV to this popular aircraft series.
