The developer Fly X Simulations has released a new airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, depicting the West Airport in Knock, Ireland (EIKN).
West Airport Knock lies in County Mayo in south-west Ireland and primarily serves the city of Charlestown. Annually, this airport serves around 800 thousand passengers. These statistics make it the fourth busiest airport in the country.

The airport opened in 1985 when the national carrier Aer Lingus started its charter flights to Rome from this airport. Back then, the airport was known as Horan International Airport.
After the 21st century started, a lot of flag, low-cost and regional carriers started operating from this airport, including Ryanair, easyJet and Lufthansa. Currently, Ryanair operates the majority of flights from this airport, with most flights ending in the United Kingdom and Spain.
