Fly2High took to their Facebook page last week to announce the release of their rendition of Brownsville Airport (KBRO) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport is a primary commercial service facility in Texas and is now available on the platform for simmers to enjoy.

Brownsville Airport

Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (KBRO/BRO) is an international airport located five miles east of downtown Brownsville, Texas. The airport is served by three airlines, Aerus, American Eagle, and United Express and connects to two destinations in Texas, Houston and Dallas. A third destination, Monterrey, begins this month. In 2021, a new 91,000 square foot terminal was commissioned to accomodate an increase in tourism and migration and as a response to SpaceX’s expanding operations in the region. Brownsville Airport was at one point the main terminal for air service between the US and Mexico.

Key Features

Fly2High’s latest product is an accurate rendition of the nearest Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport. The scenery featuers hand-made ground textures for the runways, aprons, paths, and roads. Furthermore, the developer has accurately modeled and positioned dynamic lighting around the airside. Other features also include highly detailed models of all airport buildings, objects, and its surroundings, and well optimized textures and LODs for the best performance on systems.
