Fly2High Releases Gulfport-Biloxi Airport for MSFS

Fly2High took to their Facebook page earlier this week to announce the release of their rendition of Gulfport-Biloxi Airport (KGPT) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport is their twenty-eight such product offering for the platform.

About Gulfport-Biloxi Airport

Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is a joint civil-military international airport located three nautical miles northeast of Gulfport, Mississippi, US. Despite the “international” title, all of the airport’s destinations are solely domestic. It primarily serves the Gulf Coast area. The airport was originally built in 1942 by the US Air Force as a training base for the Air Corps Flying Training Command and opened as Gulfport Army Field on 7th July. It was declared as excess by the USAF and conveyed by the War Assets Administration to Gulfport City to be used as a civil airport in 1949.

Key features

Fly2High’s latest product for MSFS features an accurate and highly detailed recreation of Gulfport-Biloxi Airport. The rendition includes hand-made ground textures for elements such as runways, aprons, paths, roads, etc. Further features also include accurately modeled and positioned dynamic airport lighting, highly detailed models of all airport buildings, objects and surroundings, and performance optimizations for smoother frame rates.
