FlyBeside: Streamlining the Process of Finding Copilots, Lessons, and More

FlyBeside, a brand new concept to the flight simulator world, aims to consolidate your search for flying lessons, copilots, and wingmen into a single, match-based platform. A “multiplayer, multiplied” experience that aims to streamline the tedious process of forum searching and Discord hopping to find your flight simulator partner.

The concept of FlyBeside is rooted in reducing the effort required to search for like-minded individuals to fly with. In addition to this, FlyBeside is also an integrated flight instruction platform that permits anyone to offer online lessons and anyone to take them. With a fully built-in voice and text chat, as well as tracking features designed to match potential students to teachers, the platform aims to maximize user convenience.

The core of the FlyBeside platform is to match like-minded flight simmers for copiloting, group flights, and lessons. As such, many features are intended to streamline this process. FlyBeside uses a fully customizable search engine that allows users to find other users with filters and specific needs. The platform also allows users to disable searchibility if they prefer to not be discoverable by other users.

Additionally, built into the platform is a marketplace for flight lessons. Flybeside includes a fully monetized system for instructors to offer any flight training lesson to users for a 25% commission fee. This feature will expand the ability of users to learn new concepts and aircraft from other more experience users, while also allowing those more experienced users to make some money from it.

As the platform has just been released, the availability of many of these features is limited. Similar to any forum or Discord Server, this platform is entirely dependent on an active user base. Creating an account is completely free, as are all the features available except for paid flight lessons. FlyBeside, at release, is intended for MSFS; however, future platform expansions are possible. Furthermore, its functionality is entirely available through their online or downloadable application.

Watch this space; this platform is bridging the gap in the flight simulation community. With a robust user base, this platform would be absolutely groundbreaking and could bring our flight simulation community closer than it has ever been.
