FlyByWire A32NX and A380X Receive a New Update

 

FlyByWire Simulations has released a new stable version for both of their aircraft available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The announcement was made on their Discord Server with a link to the changelog of both aircraft. Version 0.13.0 includes multiple changes and improvements made by the developer to both aircraft. These changes are centered on optimization, quality of life improvements, and bug fixes, according to FlyByWire. Changes made to the A380X include an improved EFB, visual updates, and refined systems. The A32NX brings improvements to the camera of the aircraft in VR and some upgrades to the brakes, GPU, and flight computers.

A380X Version 0.13.0

The new “alpha” release of the A380X by FlyByWire expands on various systems of the aircraft and optimizes some visual elements of this add-on. The FCU received an overhaul, bringing the aircraft closer to its real counterpart. Changes made to the Altimeter knob and display and a new metric altitude button have been implemented.

The EFB of this aircraft received some changes to the cabin light control and a fix to the aircraft’s doors. The layout of some FMS pages has been improved with a new ATCCOM connect page. Some textures of the aircraft have been improved for better performance, and a new cabin bounce light and LOGO light have been implemented.

FlyByWire added correct ECAM messages for presurization failure and improved the fuel systems for a more realistic engine behavior. The brightness knob for the PFD and ND has been improved and a new V1 and top-of-decent alerts are now implemented. Finally, multiple bugs have been addressed, like doors opening mid-flight, FMS, and TCAS errors.

A32NX Version 0.13.0

The new version of the A32NX received improvements for some old features and dozens of bug fixes, according to the developer. Aircraft systems, such as braking and electrics, have been refined. Some aircraft failures have even been expanded on.

The computers on the aircraft have been enhanced, including the aircraft’s Flight Management System (FMS) for flight planning, holding, and approach procedures. The FMGC and FCU computers are now simulated in this aircraft. The EFIS has received a performance and layout update to prevent computer memory issues. The GPU is now more immersive with this add-on, having a new connection logic and failure checks.

FlyByWire has also made an announcement regarding future patches for both aircraft. The developer wants us to expect future patches for both aircraft to be released at the same time. FlyByWire also released a note with this announcement regarding throttle calibration. The calibration is now required, and you can use the guide provided by the developer here.
