FlyByWire A380 for MSFS Release Date Revealed

The FlyByWire team held a developer livestream yesterday, where they showed a lot of parts of the Airbus A380, answered community questions and most importantly, revealed the release date of this highly anticipated airliner.

As mentioned in the livestream, the FlyByWire A380 is going to be released this Thursday, 31/10/2024. The release is going to be available to everyone for free through the FlyByWire Installer.

It should be noted that the aircraft is being released in a developer alpha state, and many things might still not work properly, and some parts of the aircraft may still be missing. However, the FlyByWire team mentioned that the aircraft is already fully VATSIM-ready and capable of doing A-to-B flights.

As you could have read in our previous article, the A380 is going to have most of the core systems functional, including the modern safety system the Superjumbo includes. This simulated counterpart is already capable of brake-to-vacate and runway overrun protection and has the functional OANS (Onboard Airport Navigation System).

Once Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is released, the Airbus A380 is going to be compatible as soon as possible and should work straight away with no updates with some limited functionality.

There’s more to be read about the FlyByWire A380, so make sure to take a look at our previous article regarding this topic here.
