Flysimware Releases Sierra C24R for MSFS 2020

Flysimware recently released its newest product, the Sierra C24R, for both the PC and Xbox versions of Flight Simulator 2020. Working with 3DReach to model the aircraft, Flysimware promises to deliver a visually stunning product alongside the high fidelity for which they have become known.

About the Real Life C24R

Designed and built by American aviation manufacturer Beechcraft, the Sierra CR24 is a member of the Musketeer family with several airframes. Featuring a single-engine design with a tricycle-styled landing gear system, the C24R can seat up to six people including the pilot. It is powered by a Lycoming engine that generates two hundred horsepower. With a service ceiling of 15,385 feet, the C24R can travel up to 745 miles at a cruising speed of 166 miles per hour.

Flysimware C24R Features

Using a C24R owned by a friend, Flysimware used laser scanning, pictures, and documentation to create an exact replica of the airframe right down to the smallest texture and flight dynamics. With six different panels to choose from and autopilot integration from Working Title, the customization features of this add-on holds a lot of potential. At the moment, Xbox users can only load the GNS530 and GTN750 from the PMS50 panels. Also, due to limitations, the GTN750Xi from TDS will not work.

The model features 4k PBR textures, windshield rain effects, exterior icing effects, custom coded gauges, and a high quality pilot and co-pilot.

Other features inclue sounds from Borris Audioworks, utilizing Wwise sofware and interactive environment sounds. Various parked state modes can be found as well as save states. Also included in the add-on is a tablet with save state options, fuel, payload, weather, and a configuration page.

Conclusion

This add-on seems sure to interest any fan of vintage general aviation. With the many options and fun factor potential of a single engine airframe, hours can be spent with the various configurations.
