FSDG Releases Maldives Scenery for X-Plane 12

The Flight Sim Development Group, better known as FSDG, has just released a Maldives scenery for X-Plane 12. The Maldives, located in the Indian Ocean, is popular among travelers looking for white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and breathtaking landscapes.

The Maldives

FSDG’s new scenery location, situated about 400 nautical miles from the Asian mainland, is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world. The Maldives has a tropical climate and the lowest elevation of any country, with constant hot and humid temperatures. These conditions can make air operations challenging, adding an extra layer of adventure for pilots exploring the area.

Main Features

  • Accurate & detailed rendition of Velana International Airport Malé (VRMM)
  • New terminal and Hulhumalé island included (both still under construction)
  • Malé and several additional islands in the vicinity of the airport included
  • Realistic light environment, interior modeling, and detailed seaplane base
  • XP12 technologies (dynamic lighting, reflective textures, water textures, and more)

Closing Notes

In conclusion, this scenery offers a beautiful environment for all pilots flying in the area, elevating the simulation experience. The product is retailed for 19,99€ on the developer’s website. FSDG recommends a 3D graphics card with at least 4 GB of memory and a 3,0 GHz processor for optimal performance. If you would like to read more news about flight simulators, check out our main page.
