FSLabs Releases A321 Update, Compatibility with MSFS2024

Developer FSLabs announced a major update to their Airbus A321 product today on their website. Included in the update are important system fixes and sound upgrades, but perhaps most important to a handful of users, compatibility with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has been introduced.

FSLabs says that the update, version 11.0.1.302, is built to support the “next generation of Microsoft’s flight simulation platform.” The team also specifically focused attention on a new feature added to the aircraft, Runway Overrun Prevention System (ROPS) and Runway Overrun Warning (ROW). The two features both work in conjunction to mitigate the risk of excursions during landings.

Also in the update, the team shared that they have dedicated “significant effort” to working on upgrading the product’s flight performance model. A main focus was on updating how the aircraft responds to roll commands. FSLabs has worked on fine-tuning control laws in the Elevator and Aileron Computer, or ELAC, which involved working with dynamic response parameters to more closely replicate the aircraft’s roll behavior in different conditions.

The A321, alongside the main features and new compatibility, also received fixes to things like landing elevation settings, changes to cloud and rain lighting effects, new EFB livery-specific backgrounds, and more. Lastly, the team added a thanks to the community for their feedback as they work to refine the addon.
