FSLabs Releases Maintenance Update for their Airbus Aircraft

Lefteris Kalamaras from FSLabs has yesterday taken to their forums to announce the release of maintenance updates for their A320-X, A319-X, and A321-X products for Prepar3D v4 and v5.

Whilst not bringing the sharklets to the A320-X and A321-X, the update prepares the aircraft for the future sharklet update as well as fixes and improves already present aircraft features. Several issues were fixed on external models, the wing-flex was improved to be smoother, and not to forget, even the virtual cockpit received some modelling and animation improvements.

Additionally, as this is not a small update, the exterior lighting issue when the beacons/strobes would freeze depending on dynamic light allocations around the scenery was fixed.

In regards to the aircraft hardware support, all three aircraft received more control inputs to improve hardware configuration options for the simmer with products like the Thrustmaster’s TCA range.

Other than that, the FMGS and MCDU in the aircraft received a plethora of improvements improving the overall realism and behavior of the aircraft parts. For users of virtual reality headsets, the issue where a triangle appeared in front of the glare shield was fixed.

At the end, FSLabs have confirmed that the work is progressing on Concorde-X. It was said in the forum post:

I would also like to mention that work on the Concorde-X continues – I mentioned in our previous announcement that it “will be released this coming year” – please replace the “will” with “may” as life in general sometimes might not agree fully with our planning strategy

The update for all three aircraft can be downloaded through the FSLabs download page available here. If you wish to purchase the aircraft, you can do so through the FSLabs website for $139.95, or €119, in case of the base A320-X.
