FSLabs Shares New Video of A321, Showing Revolutionary Features

The team at FSLabs continues previewing the upcoming rendition of Airbus A321 CEO for Microsoft Flight Simulator. They have already showcased the icing conditions in the previous video, but today, we have some interesting previews from the flight deck.

The video starts with the FSLabs A321 with an inoperable APU and shows how to work with MEL (Minimum Equipment List) items in the new, updated FSLabs EFB. There, you can find any possible defects and a flight history log, including information such as legs, crew, and so on. The techlog file can also be shared with other pilots who fly the same airframe.

The whole MEL document is also available in the A321’s EFB, where you can find procedures for any fault in the aircraft.

FSLabs then shows the GPS jamming during take-off from Cypriot Paphos Airport (LCPH), where GPS jamming is currently quite common. The aircraft experiences a GPS PRIMARY LOST error upon departure. To work around this error, you have to check the PROG and the GPS MONITOR pages. Over there, modes will be switched from ADQ to AIDED, and satellites will be in charge of navigation for that certain period of time.

GPS jamming fault is going to happen at random in the aircraft, only in certain areas, based on real-world data. For further information, you can also read more in the previous article, covering the de-icing showcase video.
