FSLTL Issues Statement on MSFS 2024 Compatibility Struggles

FSLTL, the developers behind the freeware AI traffic injector for MSFS, have released a statement regarding compatibility issues with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The statement covers the main problems the team is dealing with to make it fully compatible with MSFS 2024.

FSLTL Compatibility Issues

FSLTL is a freeware project like the FlyByWire A320 and A380. As FSLTL is not listed in the MSFS Marketplace, the team does not have access to MSFS 2024 before its release. Therefore, until MSFS 2024 is released, the team won’t know how well it will work with 2024.

The team has been in contact with a few people outside FSLTL who have access. However, the feedback from these people has not been great. Issues such as the simulator attempting to place all aircraft in one parking spot, AI control issues, sound issues and more are present.

It was stated that unless some fixes are made before the release on November 19th, MSFS 2024 AI could be in a worse state than MSFS 2020. At this point, the team does not know what will work. When 2024 releases, the team will not be able to offer any support.

However, injector V1.6.7 does include MSFS 2024 support, which detects if 2024 is running and will then connect to it. In terms of injection and the behaviour of the AI, no support can be offered. As time goes on and the team learns more about the simulator, this stance will change.

If you use FSLTL base models with the built-in live AI traffic in MSFS 2024, no support can be offered either. This is the same stance they took with MSFS 2020 as they have no control over how the simulator matches liveries and models when using just the base models for the built-in AI traffic.

Over time, as Asobo releases updates and addresses these issues, the team will update us on development. They will continue to try to improve and make FSLTL work with MSFS 2024. For more flight simulator-related news, check out the rest of FSNews.
