Gaya Simulations Previews Zell am See Update (MSFS)

Gaya Simulations made an announcement on Facebook about the next update that is scheduled for their rendition of Zell am See Airport (LOWZ) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The release date of the update is unknown, however, the developers mentioned, that it is “around the corner”.

Version 1.2 will come with some new features as well as fixes. The most important is an update on the ground layout to accommodate the runway 26 extension and a star added to the airport on the map. Furthermore, fixes on the windsock and the fuel area will be present in the scenery update. Gaya Simulations added as well PBR to ground areas.

You can buy the scenery on Orbx for approximately €12.95.

Zell am See is a small GA airport in Zell am See, Austria. Even though the town itself isn’t big, it does serve as a transportation hub for the region. It’s also a touristic hotspot. This does not reflect in the airport operations, however. The maximum tonnage for LOWZ is 5.7 tonnes. There are no scheduled flights operating to or from this airport, but as the new MSFS has a large variety of GA aircraft, that is no problem.

Changelog

  • Updated ground layout to accommodate RWY26 extension
  • Ground areas now receive the full PBR and specular treatment
  • Fixed issues with windsocks
  • Fuel area is now active and working
  • The airport will now have ‘star’ on the world map
  • Added PBR to parked cars
  • A number of miscellaneous bug fixes
