Honeycomb Aeronautical Addresses Production Issues and Previews Dust Covers

Honeycomb Aeronautical, a well-known flight simulation hardware manufacturer, has recently taken to their social network profiles to address production issues with the Alpha Flight Controls and Bravo Throttle Quadrant.

These issues had to be addressed as many flight simulation enthusiasts who want to purchase the products simply can’t as it is either not in-stock or the delivery times are very extensive.

First of all, we want to apologize to the many of you who still havenโ€™t been able to purchase our products due to lack of inventory. We are producing at max capacity but are facing several problems which are impacting availability.

There are two problems impacting the availability of the products. The first being shortage of electronic components throughout the industry and the second being an “extreme” shortage of container availability from Asia.

The whole electronics industry is facing severe component shortages and we are especially hard hit as some of our components now have a lead time of 6 โ€“ 7 months.

The current production schedule heavily depends on when Honeycomb gets replenishments from their suppliers.

Nicki, founder of Honeycomb Aeronautical, further mentioned on the subject:

We have allocated some of our inventory to ship directly to customers from Hong Kong and only charge 30% of the actual FedEx cost to our customers, but they are sold out almost as quickly as we make them available in our shop.

New shipments were sent to the resellers, and more units should be available to purchase “very soon“.

On a better note, Honeycomb has made dust covers for their Alpha Flight Controls and Bravo Throttle Quadrant, and are curious if it is something the community would like them to offer for sale. The retail price would be probably set to $14.99 or โ‚ฌ12.55.

Our office in Asia made these nice dust covers for us to use at tradeshows and we wanted to see if that was something you would want us to offer for sale as well.
