The developer iBlueYonder, responsible for sceneries such as Dallas Love Field and Cheat River Island for Microsoft Flight Simulator, has released an updated version of their Portland Airport for the same platform, bringing this major hub on par with how the airport is going to look at the end of 2025.
Why Such a Major Update?
Portland International Airport is currently undergoing major improvements, with a brand new terminal, including both phase 1 and phase 2 reconstructions. This will bring new airline check-in areas, a new public space, with the interior designed to resemble the history and nature of Oregon, as well as more shopping and restaurant areas.

With so many changes happening at the airport throughout this year, the developer might have figured out it is going to be better to release a major update, with all the future features, even though it is not as accurate, it is definitely better than updating the scenery every moment there is a change at the airport.
iBlueYonder Portland v2 Features
The scenery features a highly detailed rendition of the airport, with its visuals set up to par with the end of 2025, including a new terminal building, the new B and E concourses, as well as the extension to the existing E concourse. All of these parts of the airport will have a detailed interior.

The surrounding area is full of new buildings and garages, and they lay on completely re-worked ground textures. Animations around the airport will enhance the realistic experience, including flags and a light rail train that roams around the area.
Those who use GSX Pro will be glad to hear that together with the release, iBlueYonder includes a custom, detailed GSX Pro profile for you to use.

You can purchase this scenery via the FlightBeam website for €18.95. The scenery is only compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
