The developer iFly, who is currently working on a rendition of the 737 MAX for Microsoft Flight Simulator, has shared many new external previews of this aircraft via the Flight1 Discord server.
The Older Previews
The first batch of previews was published on the 29th of August. They show the aircraft on ground, as well as during the cruise in the default iFly livery. We can notice a few details in these previews, such as the landing gear details, and window models, which are squared from the outside and a bit rounded from the inside.

We can also notice the landing lights and the position lights, which seem to perform well and even reflect from the fuselage.
More iFly 737 MAX Screenshots From Yesterday
A few more screenshots were shared yesterday, that showcase the exterior model as well, during different lighting conditions and even a wing-view shot from the inside of the cabin. In this image, we can especially notice the window reflection.
In the evening shots, we can notice the light reflection off the fuselage, and it seems to diffuse the sunlight correctly with the help of the Microsoft Flight Simulator graphics engine and the work iFly team gives into to make the plane look as realistic as possible in the virtual skies.
Flight1 also disclosed that the plane is going to be released for Xbox, a bit later than the PC version, though. This is because the developer uses an external application (like Fenix Simulations’ A320 does) to make certain calculations in parallel with the simulator. The team still needs to figure out how to make it work on the console platform.
So far, no new information has been shared about the 737 MAX. However, some people on the Discord server made assumptions that the plane could be released this week or on the 6th of October, based on the very first screenshot shared. The iFly team busted these assumptions and the release remains a mystery at this moment. You can also read more about the iFly 737 MAX in one of our previous articles here.
