iFly Announces Their B737 Will Not Be Compatible With Prepar3D v6

Prompted by questions about compatibility, iFly โ€” the developers behind one of the most sophisticated and detailed B737s for Prepar3D v5, announces that their 737 NG and MAX products will not be compatible with the new Prepar3D v6.

While Prepar3D v6 promises to be more realistic than any previous version, such a significant improvement comes with developmental setbacks. iFly states that โ€œP3D v6 compatibility will require reworks of the models, textures, effects, gauge displays, PBR and moreโ€ โ€” a cost of time that cannot be spared, whilst development for the Microsoft Flight Simulator B737 MAX supersedes that of Prepar3D.

As we wait for the B737 MAX in MSFS, rest assured knowing that iFly intends on making their products suitable for use with Prepar3D v6. For now, there is no indication as to when this will be; and whether or not the upgrade will require a monetary contribution.
