Imaginesim took to their Facebook page to announce the release of their rendition of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The airport has been completely overhauled from the MSFS2020 version with several improvements.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, located 10 miles south of Downtown Atlanta, is the primary international airport serving Atlanta and its surrounding metropolitan area in the US state of Georgia. Named after former city mayors William B. Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson, it has been the world’s busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic and aircraft movements. In 2024 alone, it served 108 million passengers, the most of any airport in the world. The airport is the corporate headquarters and primary hub of Delta Air Lines. It is also the home base for several low-cost carriers such as Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Spirit Airlines.
Key Features
Imaginesim’s overhaul of KATL for MSFS2024 includes new modelling and thousands of improvements to the MSFS2020 version. It has also been rebuilt using the very latest MSFS SDK compiler. The Whiskey Loop taxiway (Taxiway W behind RWY09L) has also seen improvements and modeling, along with new landscaping, PBR, and terrain modeling. The product also includes a custom interactive SafeGuard™ Visual Docking Guidance System, interactive bespoke jetways and animations, 15 square miles coverage of the KATL area, and graduated ground extremities to seamlessly blend with any vector-driven add-on.
The MSFS2024 version also features “fantastic performance” with comprehensive optimization, fluid FPS even with complex airliners and high-density AI, and instantaneous scenery loading for low simulator impact. Imaginesim’s KATL also utilizes its bespoke Operation Center scenery configurator GUI for your tweaking and settings.
