Impulse Simulations, known for their Australian airport scenerys, has announced the development of two new airport sceneries for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The first project is a new rendition of Port Lincoln Airport (YPLC) in South Australia: This scenery will feature the latest new apron layout as of December 2024. Development screenshots have already been shared on their Facebook, though they reflect various stages of progress. The team is currently seeking input from local pilots or residents who are familiar with the airport to assist in finalizing the project.

Impulse Simulations Updates Adelaine Int. Airport (YPAD)
In addition, Impulse Simulations has confirmed a major update to one of its first releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS): Adelaide International Airport (YPAD). Version 2 of YPAD is being built from the ground up, reflecting four years of growth and experience since the original version. All airport buildings are being remodeled, outdated or poorly optimized assets are being replaced, and the terminal will feature a partially modeled interior. Interactive elements, such as proximity-triggered hangar access, are also planned. The team is drawing inspiration from their well-received Canberra Airport scenery to set a higher standard for ground markings, wear effects, and immersion.

Due to the scale of the overhaul, an upgrade fee will be applied for existing users. Impulse Simulations has stated that the update features significant improvements in quality, performance, and realism. They are also inviting feedback from industry professionals, such as airport staff and pilots, to help ensure the accuracy of the final add-on.
