The developer iniBuilds announced a new airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, this time taking us to East-central Africa, to the capital city of Ethiopia. Addis Ababa Airport is now in the works for the simulator, and the iniBuilds team has already shown us the first previews of this African hub.
Bole International Airport is home to Ethiopian Airlines and has some interesting aspects of flying into it, including a high elevation of more than 7000 feet. Addis Ababa Airport offers a wide range of short-haul and long-haul routes across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
The iniBuilds team promises a highly detailed rendition of this airport, with hand-crafted terminals and their interiors, with custom clutter like signs, billboards and people. This will make the scenery feel lively in the MSFS 2024 world. The impressive surrounding area is going to be covered by this scenery as well, with custom vegetation and infrastructure, capturing the feel of the airport as it is in real life.
Speaking of the airside of the airport, the airport will include dynamic airport lighting, ground services and an up-to-date layout, ensuring a great integration into online networks like VATSIM. Those who use GSX Pro in MSFS 2024 will surely be glad to hear that a custom, official GSX profile is going to be included in this release.
