Just in time for peak summer ops, iniBuilds has unveiled its next release: Larnaca International Airport (LCLK) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Located on the southern coast of Cyprus, Larnaca is a Mediterranean hub ideal for short-to-medium-haul operations. Whether you’re flying a BFU’d Fenix A32X from Europe or a 737 on a regional charter, this one is well-placed on the summer map.

Island Getaway
Larnaca International Airport is Cyprus’ largest and busiest airport, welcoming over 8 million passengers annually. Located on the island’s southeastern coast, it serves as the country’s primary international gateway and a strategic hub for tourism, business, and cargo operations. The airport is equipped with a single 3,000-metre runway and modern terminal facilities capable of handling wide-body aircraft.
Its route network includes year-round and seasonal connections across Europe and the Middle East, operated by airlines such as TUS Airways (the local carrier), Emirates, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Aegean, and easyJet. The approach offers striking views of Larnaca Bay and the nearby salt lake, adding scenic value to every arrival and departure.

Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
iniBuilds’ Larnaca Airport has been built from the ground up for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, making full use of the platform’s updated SDK and rendering pipeline. No Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 version will be released—in a statement from April 2025, iniBuilds confirmed that they have ended new development for the older sim, stating: “The future is with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and as such we will not be developing any more NEW airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.”
iniBuilds’ trailer and preview images make it evident that this scenery was developed with a focus on both realism and immersion. The apron is brought to life through 4K PBR textures, accurate 2025 layout updates, custom ground polygons, detailed clutter, service roads, and numerous animated elements. Barriers, cones, decals, and signage reinforce the impression of an airport in active use, not a static backdrop.

A fully modelled terminal interior, featuring distinctive glass architecture, adds visual depth, while high-definition jetways and weathered static equipment reflect the sun-faded realism of the region. A dedicated GSX profile ensures correct stand allocation, airline codes, and vehicle placement for GSX Pro users.
Larnaca is one of those airports that quietly covers a lot: seasonal charters, steady year-round traffic, and memorable visuals on arrival. The add-on is releasing soon, though iniBuilds has not yet confirmed a date. It will be available through the iniManager for £9.99 (excl. VAT).
