iniBuilds took to their forum page earlier today to announce they have released a new update for their Airbus A350 aircraft rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. The latest version, V1.1.6, features many changes focused primarily on the systems, art, and soundset of the aircraft.

A350 System Fixes

Most of the major changes introduced in this new update version for the Airbus A350 focus on bug fixes and system improvements. Many WASM errors were resolved, the cabin VS fluctuating error was fixed, many HUD ECAM warnings were tweaked, and the NAV Mode heading indicators received fixes. Furthermore, issues with CMS, runway change causing the weather info on the APPR page to be removed, and selecting AUTO for XPDR putting TCAS into TA/RA were also fixed. Other fixes include Alpha lock in direct law engaging, wobbly descents, and overlapping text on ATC COM screen, while deeper cabin condition simulation and increased ED refresh rates were added.

Art and Sounds Fixes

Some minor changes in the way of art and sounds were also introduced to this A350 update. The team has fixed the left side of the engine cover, missing the “350” decal on the -900 variant. Furthermore, a new strobe light flashing sequence and working dome lights (on MSFS2020) have been added to the aircraft. The reverse thrust soundset has been tweaked as it was too sudden, but it is now gradual and smoother. The A350’s flap sounds are more realistic, while the RA callouts’ tonality has been changed. Engines’ growling/rumbling effect will also now coincide with fuel flow as EGT rises.

Closing Notes

This new update for the A350 for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 follows a slew of patches and fixes in the last few months as the aircraft continues to be improved post-launch. This update might not include much at first glance, but some of the fixes are welcome additions, in particular the WASM fixes.

A full list of all changes and improvements added in this update can be viewed below. The new update can be downloaded and installed via the iniManager.
