iniBuilds Publishes New Updates for Airbus A350

iniBuilds took to their Discord server to announce they have released a new update for their Airbus A350 rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

iniBuilds took to their Discord server to announce they have released a new update for their Airbus A350 rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The update addresses many issues and introduces improvements to the systems, simulation, and artwork.

Hello, A350 v1.0.4

iniBuilds’ most notable enhancement in the latest update is a more accurate fuel temperature simulation wherein the fuel temps behave more realistically during various phases of flight. There is more dynamic variation as opposed to the “static-ness” of the previous version. The real-world A350 has heated fuel tanks, utilizing residual heat from the airframe to never let the temps fall below -20º C.

The A350’s engine behavior has also been tweaked to be more realistic, focusing mainly on engine spool rates. The XWB engines don’t react instantly to the throttle input, especially at lower power settings. The new tweaks ensure the engines respond more naturally when advancing the throttles mimicking the real-world aircraft.

The long-winglet model of the A350-900 has also been updated after feedback from the community. The shape and profile of the long-winglet type have been improved greatly after acquiring new data and reference images. MSFS2020 performance has also been greatly improved after optimizing node counts and refining the system for swapping cockpits. These aim to reduce CPU load, resulting in smoother frame rates and fewer stutters.

Other Changes

The navigation system also sees fixes including improved waypoint insertion stability, fixing step-altitude persistence post climbs, and wing data logic and descent speed limit functionality have also been refined to better reflect the real-world aircraft.

WASM-related issues have also been touched upon and multiple fixes have been published addressing crashes linked to TCAS activation, flight plan imports, and Navigraph integration. These changes also enhance stability and usability. The entire changelog for the latest update can be found on the iniBuilds forum.

Where to find v1.0.4?

The latest slew of changes can be downloaded and installed via iniBuilds’ installer iniManager. Do note that since the aircraft has had its modeling and artwork changed, all installed liveries will have to be re-downloaded/updated via the iniManager to work with v1.0.4 on both MSFS2020 and 2024.

The paint kit has also been updated to v1.0.2 to include the updated artwork and modeling of the A350 v1.0.4. We also shared our first impressions on the latest airliner from iniBuilds which you can read about on our website.
