The developer iniBuilds has last week, during FSExpo 2025, released the A350 ULR variant, alongside various Cabin Packs for the same aircraft series. While the release was quite unexpected during FSExpo, it has sparked a little bit of controversy in the community.
The A350 ULR has been released alongside the free update 1.1.0 for all current customers who own the Airbus A350. The ULR includes an improved fuel logic, adjusted for the A350 ULR’s longer range and capacity. This variant also includes a specific cabin layout that has been meticulously crafted to meet high-level standards.
The update also brought many features to the standard version of the A350. The iniBuilds team promises performance improvements, better integration with the FS2024 Career Mode and new scenarios for you to try. This version of the A350 includes improvements to the WASM optimisation, resulting in less crashes and better overall stability.
In the EFB, a new set of scenarios, called Immersive Scenarios, was added. These scenarios allow you to trigger corresponding ECAM messages and interactions in the cabin. These include things like medical emergencies, unruly passengers, or lavatory smoke. The medical emergency is also split into general or by food poisoning.
Cabin Packs and Their Controversy
Alongside this update for the A350, the iniBuilds team has also released the iniBuilds A350 Cabin Packs for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Whilst now free, they were initially a payware add-on. This sparked a certain amount of controversy, as people were not keen on paying additional money to an already existing aeroplane, just to have different cabin variations. After that, the iniBuilds team has decided to put this product available for free, and issued refunds to everybody who has purchased the add-on.
There are two cabin packs in total, each one having different airlines available within its content.
The first Cabin Pack includes cabins of numerous major airlines flying the A350. There is an Air France Cabin, a British Airways Cabin, a Virgin Atlantic cabin, and a Lufthansa cabin. The Air France pack is only available for the A350-900, the Lufthansa cabin is available in both -900 and -1000 variants of the aircraft, and Virgin Atlantic, together with British Airways, are only available as -1000 variants.
The second one includes airlines such as Emirates, available only for the -900 variant, Qatar Airways, together with QSuite, for both aircraft variants, Qatar Airways cabin in its Herringbone variant, only available for the A350-900, and the Etihad cabin, which is only available in the A350-1000.
