iniBuilds has released another update to their A350 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. The update brings a range of fixes and improvements across the systems, visuals, HUD, and sounds. They also announced their partnership with Echo 19 for improved sounds across the whole aircraft.
Flight Management (FMS) System and HUD Improvements
Update v1.1.3 addresses numerous issues relating to the logic of the FMS in the A350 and has reworked the stability of the systems. Improvements have been made to Secondary Flight Plan operation for displaying holds on the ND (Navigation Display), as well as some submenus not opening in FMS2. Some VNAV issues have also been addressed, and LNAV now handles a go-around correctly.

Since the HUD was released as an update to the A350, it has been a very popular feature to use in the airliner. iniBuilds have taken some time in this update to focus on community feedback for the HUD. More improvements are expected in the future, but this update does bring some changes. Adjustments to the HUD’s perspective have been better aligned, and some graphical issues have been addressed.
WASM Crashes and Improved Brake Logic
WASM crashes have affected the iniBuilds A350 heavily since its release for some users, and the team have been trying to address them in every update released since. They have addressed some WASM-related crashes with custom waypoint entry and specific procedures. iniBuilds is still investigating these crashes and appreciates the feedback from the community to help fix WASM crashes.
Another big improvement is to the brake logic and the Brake to Vacate (BTV) system. BTV not disengaging after a go-around has now been fixed, along with an issue with it showing incorrectly on the FMA when below 10 knots. BTV logic also now responds correctly to runway exit changes and improved turnaround time calculations. The thermodynamics of the brakes have also been improved and changed to better simulate the cooling of the brakes based on the conditions around them.
Other Fixes and Improvements
Alongside these improvements, iniBuilds has also made several fixes and improvements to systems, lighting, and visuals. The backend system has received numerous updates to improve realism across electrical, hydraulic, pressurisation and braking systems. Engines also now correctly seize when the oil runs out.
VENT and AVNCS door systems have been refined so they now affect cabin pressurisation. This change brings more realistic depressurisation behaviour, with a pressure loss of 2000ft per minute when the system is active. ECAM messages for the yellow electrical pump also display correctly when the cargo doors are being opened.

iniBuilds have worked with Navigraph closely alongside the community to help fix the OIS (Onboard Information System) enroute map becoming non-functional on long-haul flights. The community and beta test team are no longer reporting this issue after 15+ hour flights. The authentication token for the Navigraph issue has also been fixed, so you will no longer need to log in throughout the flight.
For Xbox users, the cockpit used to not load on the highest level of detail model initially when changing views. This issue has now been resolved, and flashing displays are also fixed. Liveries will no longer suffer from the “floating decal” bug, which left some decals floating towards the front of the A350. As this was an issue with the aircraft model, you will not need to update your liveries.

Seatbelt signage is working correctly again, and emergency lighting has been linked properly to the aircraft. Overall, floor lighting has been improved, and some smaller technical fixes have been made. Exterior lighting has also been improved with lights more visible during the daytime, such as the lights in the wing tips.
Echo 19 Partnership
In partnership with Echo 19, iniBuilds will improve on the sounds of the A350. Several improvements have been made since the initial release of the A350 to help improve the sounds, based on feedback. However, the team have now partnered with Echo 19 Audio Productions to release a complete sound overhaul of the A350.

The partnership will bring significant enhancements to the sound of the engines, cockpit, and environmental audio, along with spatial detail. iniBuilds has said that work is already ongoing and that more updates on this partnership will follow soon.
iniBuilds are still releasing periodic updates and fixes for their A350 Airliner product, all of which can be downloaded via the iniManager. You can purchase the A350 on the iniBuilds Store for £71.99, and the full changelog can be found here. For news on previous A350 updates, read here on FSNews.
