iniBuilds has released their latest airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, London Gatwick (EGKK). Gatwick is an exclusive MSFS 2024 release, as iniBuilds shifts towards MSFS 2024-only releases for its airports. London Gatwick is classed as an iniBuilds “Premium” product. This means it’s new, built from the ground up in MSFS 2024.
About London Gatwick Airport
London Gatwick Airport is one of many airports in the London area alongside Stansted, Heathrow, and Luton. It is the UK’s 2nd busiest by traffic, below Heathrow as the UK’s busiest. It has two runways; however, only one is actively used while the other is used as a taxiway. Although as of 2025, Gatwick is looking to expand and be able to use that 2nd runway by shifting it slightly so it can run operations on both runways, as they are currently too close.

Gatwick Airport is located near Crawley, about 29 miles south of London. It covers a total area of 674 hectares and serves roughly 40 million people a year. The airport has been in use commercially since 1933, with two terminals, North and South, operating as a single runway airport. The airport initially opened in the late 1920s and was known as RAF Gatwick during WW2. After the war, the airport was approved for commercial flights.
iniBuilds London Gatwick Airport
iniBuilds has faithfully recreated Gatwick Airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 using the most up-to-date layout of the airport. They have included a full HD ground poly to match the current 2025 layout of the airport, along with true-to-life signposts, vegetation, barriers, and decals. iniBuilds has modelled over 180 models by hand, all featuring custom buildings and objects.

Terminals have been handcrafted with HD textures to give them a fresh appearance as seen in real life. Jetways have also been given HD textures with lots of small intricate details to capture the complexity of the jetways. Taxi signage has also been modelled and textured, reflecting the real taxiway signs found at Gatwick on the correct taxiways.
To ensure the best performance and usage of MSFS 2024, iniBuilds has used the latest MSFS 2024 SDK features to give simmers the smoothest experience possible. Adding to this, they have used Level of Detail (LOD) optimisation for every model in the airport so that only what you see is loaded in high detail at all times. Textures have been given a fresh, HD look with hand-made ground textures.

As with all of their releases, iniBuilds has included an official GSX profile in the scenery. iniBuilds London Gatwick is available now on the iniBuilds Store for €31.02. It is only compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. You can read more about iniBuilds previous releases here on FSNews.
