iniBuilds Releases London Heathrow for MSFS

After weeks of anticipation, iniBuilds has today released their largest and most complex project to date for Microsoft Flight Simulator as well as in general. Covering Britain’s busiest airport, London Heathrow International Airport (EGLL), the scenery comes with a notable amount of features.

The team spent endless hours ensuring that the scenery is done to the highest level of detail possible. That was achieved by featuring accurate models with high-resolution textures that make use of PBR materials. Of course, we can’t forget about the hand-correct orthoimagery which is present at the airport and its close vicinity.

Over ten thousand custom car models were scattered throughout parking lots outside the airport boundaries to give users that little additional detail. Moreover, there are over eighty custom points of interest in and out of the airport boundary. Some of them are even animated to make the scenery feel more alive.

London Heathrow is a busy airport not only when it comes to air traffic but also ground service vehicle traffic. Thus, the developers have accurately represented and placed over four thousand various ground service equipment models throughout the scenery.

With so many objects and models, performance could have been an issue for simmers running lower-end machines. The iniBuilds team has prevented this using aggressive performance saving methods featuring meticulous optimization where possible throughout the scenery.

If you’re an Xbox user and you’re sceptical about whether will you be able to run the scenery, the answer is yes. The scenery is compatible with Xbox when purchased on the Microsoft Store.

Needless to day, there is a lot more the scenery has to offer, including custom made taxi signs, static British Airways Concorde model, or accurately placed ground markings to better navigate through the airport, for example. The complete feature list can be found below.

If you want to purchase the scenery, you can do so through the iniBuilds website for about €21.58.
