About Svalbard Airport

Svalbard Airport serves the same-named island of Svalbard, located in Northern Norway. The airport was initially a military air base during World War II. In 1959, occasional public flights took place, and the current airport was built during the 1970s. Annually, the airport handles around 150 thousand passengers, with Norwegian and SAS being the biggest operators at this airport.

This airport is very interesting for its location, situated between the cold Greenland Sea and the fjords of the island, ensuring a spectacular and exotic view for everyone. It also holds a record for being the northernmost airport in the world with scheduled flights. Currently, Svalbard Airport is operated by a single 2500 metres long runway and a small terminal. Most scheduled flights lead to Oslo and Tromso. However, before the war, there were also some flights between this airport and Moscow, together with Murmansk.

The scenery of iniBuilds Svalbard Airport (ENSB) is now available through the iniBuilds website and the iniManager app for approximately € 11.49. This price excludes your local value-added tax, and the price may also vary due to conversion rates, as you will be charged in British Pounds.
