iniBuilds has released its latest aircraft, the Spartan 7W Executive, to its growing list of third-party aircraft add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. The Spartan 7W also brought a collaboration with the team at Echo 19 to accurately capture all of its sounds.
About the Spartan 7W Executive
The Spartan 7W Executive was an aircraft produced by the Spartan Aircraft Company in the late 1930s and early 1940s. It featured an all-metal fuselage with a retractable undercarriage. At the time, it was very popular with affluent buyers worldwide. Only 34 7W Executives were made, and of those 34, only 20 remain today. Most of them can be found in museums or storage, while a few remain airworthy.

Spartan built the first 7W Executive in 1936, with its first flight taking place on March 8th, 1936. Manufacturing stopped in 1940 with only 34 built. It was a very spacious aircraft with armrests, ashtrays, deep cushions, vents, soundproofing, and interior access to its 45 kg capacity luggage compartment. Today, the Spartan 7W Executive remains one of the most wanted vintage aircraft for collectors.
iniBuilds Spartan 7W Executive
iniBuilds have worked with a real Spartan 7W and Echo 19 for this release to maximise its level of realism in the simulator. It comes with a range of features, including multiple variants with a classic, modern or hybrid look and feel. Authentic sounds have been provided by Echo 19, who captured the true sounds of the Spartan 7W.

A modern EFB has been included to provide control over external and internal elements of the aircraft. External ground service equipment has also been added. This includes rain covers, chocks, an oil dip tray and multiple safety flags. In MSFS 2024, you can do a comprehensive external walk-around with all of these features.
Enhanced PBR textures have been used for MSFS 2024, bringing a higher level of detail and realism to the aircraft. The navigation instruments, autopilot, and radios are integrated into the different classic and modern cockpits to keep that iconic vintage feel and look while also giving a choice for a modern refresh. Every little detail has been captured by iniBuilds to bring you the best recreation of the Spartan 7W.

iniBuilds used a real Spartan 7W from an owner and operator of a Spartan. Jim Savage has looked after the 7W for nearly 18 years to ensure it remains flying. iniBuilds has said that he has been a huge help in allowing them to bring this aircraft to life within the simulator. He allowed them to conduct a site visit to his hangar to capture all the details. He also shared details about how it handles in different conditions.
The Spartan 7W is available on the iniBuilds Store for €21.20. For more iniBuilds products, read more about their latest aircraft and airport add-on releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, here on FSNews.
