Just Flight has announced the upcoming release of its BAe 146 Professional lineup for X-Plane 12. In collaboration with Thranda Design, this lineup will feature a highly detailed simulation of the British Aerospace 146. The teams will deliver all eight variants of the aircraft, which have been overhauled and developed exclusively for X-Plane 12.
Features of the BAe 146 Professional
Aircraft Variants
The product will include eight versions of the BAe 146:
- 146-100, 200 and 300 passenger models
- 200QC ‘Quick Change’, and 200QT ‘Quiet Trader’ cargo variant
- 300 QT freighter
- RAF CC.Mk2 ‘Statesman’ VIP transport
- RAF C.Mk3 cargo transport

Every variant will be equipped with a unique flight model that has been reworked to utilise the full capabilities of X-Plane 12.
New Visuals and Sounds
The aircraft will include detailed exterior models, making use of X-Plane 12’s Vulkan engine and Physically Based Rendering (PBR) to accurately depict materials.

Over 40 real-world liveries from global operators will be included. Additionally, performance improvements are being implemented to optimise frame rates on certain systems.
Cockpit and Aircraft Systems
The aircraft will feature a fully interactive 3D cockpit, with hundreds of switches and instruments, all of which have been accurately simulated by Just Flight. Some of these include:
- Custom-coded electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems
- Pressurisation and bleed air management systems
- A functional Thrust Management System (TMS)
- Navigation equipment options:
- Custom Universal Flight Management Computer (UFMC) with Vertical Navigation (VNAV) support
- Default X-Plane Flight Management Computer (FMC)
- Reality XP GTN750

In addition to various optional features, Just Flight’s Electronic Flight Bag will provide the ability to manage ground services, such as refuelling and loading/unloading passengers and cargo. A more comprehensive list of features is available on Just Flight’s 146 Professional store page.
Pricing and Release Window
Just Flight has confirmed that pricing will be lower than the previous X-Plane 11 release. Additionally, according to their Facebook announcement, current owners of the X-Plane 11 version will receive a significant discount on the product at launch.
While an exact release date hasn’t been set, the product is currently in late-stage testing. A release is expected within the coming weeks, and downloads will be made available via the Just Flight website.
