Just Flight Releases PA-28R Arrow III for X-Plane 12

Just Flight have recently announced the release of the PA-28R Arrow III for X-Plane 12 on their website. This aircraft, developed in partnership with Thranda Design, is a great option for touring and instrument training and is widely utilized in the real world by flight schools.

Just Flight PA-28R Arrow III

The Just Flight Piper PA-28R Arrow III features an accurate model of the PA-28R-201. It was built using real-world aircraft plans and includes numerous animations, such as a passenger door that responds to G-forces and air resistance when opened. The interior and exterior textures use 8K high-resolution textures for the highest possible texture clarity. The addon uses PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials with real-time reflections that have been completely reworked for X-Plane 12.

The cockpit has been modelled with high accuracy, including details down to seat belts and screw heads. The wear and tear in the cockpit is based on reference photos taken in the real aircraft, creating a realistic and authentic environment. Additionally, a custom EFB in the trailer features interactable checklists, engine configuration, an aircraft options page that can open/close doors and enable/disable ground equipment, and much more.

Real World PA-28R Arrow III

The PA-28, also known as the Piper PA-28, is a family of two- or four-seat light aircraft built by Piper Aircraft. It is designed for flight training, air taxi, and personal use. Its first flight was in January 1960 and the original versions were the PA-28-150 and PA-28-160, which started production in 1961. The version number refers to the horsepower of the aircraft. Over the years, Piper added new versions with different horsepower and the option to use floats instead of the normal retractable gear.

And as already mentioned the PA-28R is commonly used as a training aircraft for instrument flight ratings by many flight schools. Over 32,000 of these aircraft have been delivered to private owners and flying clubs. Additionally, the aircraft has also been used as a military aircraft by Angola, Argentina, Chile, Honduras, Indonesia, Qatar, Colombia, and Finland.
