JustSim have taken to social media to announce the release of two new products: Chania International Airport (LGSA) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Heraklion International Airport (LGIR) for Prepar3D.
Few details have been given for the MSFS version of Chainia Airport, but the images suggest this is a highly detailed rendering of this Cretan airport. Featuring both interior and exterior views of the main terminal, and effective night lighting, all modelled with PBR textures, this addon simulates this popular holiday destination.
Heraklion Airport, for Prepar3D, features high definition ground textures and 3D models, compiled using PBR materials, dynamic lighting, and custom buildings, some of nearby hotels and restaurants along the coastline.
Also features 3D birds and grass, animated ground vehicles, 3D taxiway lighting, and custom night effects. This addon is fully compatible with FTX Global openLC Europe.
Version 1.1 has fixed or changed: Navigation data, dynamic lighting, autogen objects, and general scene optimization, and AFCAD file has been modified
Herakion and Chainia airports are both available from simMarket. Heraklion is priced at EUR 16.90 (excl tax) with an upgrade price of EUR 5.00, and Chainia is priced at EUR 16.13. Owners of a previous version of Chainia can get the MSFS version for EUR 8.40.
Both Heraklion Airport and Chania Airport are located on the holiday island of Crete, with Heraklion being the primary airport of the island. Chainia is the gateway for the western part of the island.
