Kodiak 100 for MSFS 2024 Releases March 27

SimWorks Studios releases the Kodiak 100 for MSFS 2024 on March 27, featuring new systems, G1000 NXi, walkaround, and full platform integration

SimWorks Studios has announced the release of the Kodiak 100 for MSFS 2024 on March 27. This updated version brings a wide range of improvements, combining enhanced realism, deeper systems simulation, and full integration with new MSFS 2024 features.

The Kodiak 100 is a high-wing, single-engine turboprop aircraft designed for versatility, capable of transporting up to nine passengers or cargo from short and unprepared airstrips. Its STOL capabilities make it especially suitable for bush flying operations and challenging backcountry environments.

Developed with input from Daher and real Kodiak pilots, this version includes four different wheeled variants and over 40 liveries. The aircraft features a highly accurate 3D model created from real factory CAD data, alongside multiple interior configurations including cargo, passenger, mixed, skydiving, and executive layouts. Both cargo pod and non-cargo pod versions are available, visible baggage is now fully modelled for increased immersion, as well as standard and tundra tyre options.

The Kodiak integrates the Working Title G1000 NXi system, offering a fully modern avionics suite. System depth has been significantly improved, including a completely rewritten electrical system with enhanced load management and fully functional circuit breakers not available in the previous version. Additionally, the environmental control system has been reworked, fixing previous issues and expanding overall functionality.

Visual fidelity is a major highlight, featuring detailed 4K PBR textures across all surfaces, along with environmental effects such as dirt, mud, bugs, and water splashes. The aircraft also supports full walkaround interaction, including a detailed engine bay and various external components. Additional features include an external power receptacle compatible with portable batteries.

Animations have been expanded with realistic landing gear flex, tail flutter, and interactive cabin elements such as lighting, armrests, and air conditioning systems. High-quality audio has been recorded directly from the real aircraft to deliver an authentic sound experience.

MSFS 2024 specific features include passengers visible in the cabin and the ability to mount a tablet directly on the yoke. The aircraft also introduces Smart AutoStart and AutoStop systems, streamlining operations for users. Career mode compatibility is included, although limited to the in-game marketplace version.

Additional content includes a free exterior paint kit and interior SDK, allowing for further community customization and expansion. Pricing has not yet been officially confirmed. However, SimWorks Studios has stated that an upgrade discount will be automatically applied for existing Kodiak 100 owners upon release, with no codes or manual steps required. The Kodiak 100 will be available via the SimWorks Studios official store upon release. For more Microsoft Flight Simulator news, updates, and in-depth coverage, visit FSNews.
