iniBuilds took to their Discord server to announce the release of Kwikflight’s Hunter AH-64 Apache helicopter rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The product marks its third such paid release for the platform primarily centered around military aircraft. This particular aircraft has been developed in tandem with Echo19 Audio Production.
About the AH-64 Apache
The Hughes/McDonnell Douglas/Boeing AH-64 Apache is an American twin-turboshaft helicopter with a tailwheel-type landing gear and a tandem cockpit for a crew of two. The chopper features nose-mounted sensors for acquiring targets and providing night vision. It also features a 30mm M230 chain gun under its fuselage and four hardpoints on stub-wing pylons for armament and stores, typically AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 rocket pods. Redundant systems help it survive combat damage. Primary operators include the US Army, as well as nations such as Greece, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, and India. It has also been manufactured in the UK as the AgustaWestland Apache under license.
Key Features of the KwikFlight Hunter
KwikFlight’s Hunter features an “accessible” flight model with realistic performance and control inputs, Stability Augmentation and Control System for easier chopper flying including auto-hover mode, an accurate electrical system simulation, a detailed fuel system, and 5 MFDs with detailed system layouts and functionality. Other systems and features include an Electronic Up Front Display for communications functions, a Keyboard Control Unit for entering dynamic information into essential EUFD and EFB pages, interactable front and rear cockpits, Mission Management System for dynamic mission scenarios, and a weapons system for a wide variety of guns, rockets and missiles.
The aircraft also features a damage model and straying too close to targets in mission scenarios will inflict damage on your chopper. Other custom animations and effects have also been modeled for better immersion and realism. Another interesting aspect of this product is the sound set, which has been crafted in collaboration with Echo19 Audio, known for its sound set add-ons for various aircraft, to deliver an authentic and detailed sound environment and experience.
