Leading Edge Simulations Further Updates Saab 340 for X-Plane 11

Leading Edge Simulations have today released a new version of their rendition of Saab 340A for X-Plane 11. Released not even a month after the last update, version 1.6.3 of the aircraft brings both fixes and improvements to the aircraft model.

These include, for example, fixed aircraft stairs animations, fixed incorrect positioning of the cargo glass, tweaked ITT values in the engine temperatures, fixed a bug with gust lock engagement, or reworked DH Dial logic to fix decrement error.

The developer has, together with the update release announcement, addressed existing issues with the aircraft. The bug when the sim freezes while using Saab at certain airports is currently being fixed, it will though take some time as the developers will need to “revamp the map coordinate logic“.

The issue with flaps locking incorrectly due to the gust lock will be revisited in v2.0 of the aircraft.

In order to properly update the aircraft to v1.6.3, re-download the aircraft files from the X-Aviation store and replace the previous ones. The aircraft can be purchased exclusively through the previously mentioned store for a price of $49.95 or €41.15.
