Monsoon from the LevelUP team has announced through their Discord that an updated version of their 737 Series for X-Plane is going to be released tomorrow. This update is going to bring a long-awaited compatibility for X-Plane 12.
Release and Controversy of LevelUP 737 NG
The LevelUP team, which used to be known as The Ultimate Team, released the 737-700 and 737-900 for X-Plane, based on the famous ZIBO 737. This, however, stopped being updated after a certain period, making the series lacking in features the 737-800 by ZIBO already had.
The release of the LevelUP 737 NG Series for X-Plane 11 was surrounded by a number of controversies, as a development version was leaked a few months before the official release. Once the aircraft was released, the release version had a limited EFB, despite the promises, and no update has been released for the aircraft since. Thus, after almost three years, this aircraft series is getting its very first update.
The New Update
This update focuses on the X-Plane 12 compatibility and addresses flight model and visual model issues, providing a well-balanced experience, according to the Discord post. This update is going to be released tomorrow, on Christmas Eve, on the 24th of December, 2024. With the holidays currently coming, support will be limited.
Monsoon closes the short development update by mentioning that Update 1 is going to create a great foundation for the future, and the next phase is going to bring the start of the development of the 737 MAX 3D model.
