Magknight 787 updated to 1.5.0 (XP11)

Magknight has today released a major update for their rendition of Boeing 787 for X-Plane 11. This is a major update that mainly features a new Rolls-Royce engine option, over 50 bugfixes, custom flight controls, air conditioning, and upgraded fuel systems.

The announcement was made via the X-Plane.org Forums. Aeroniemi, Magknight developer and post author, has included a few important notes at the start to make things clear. Both version 1.4.0 and 1.5.0 of the aircraft are compatible with X-Plane 11.50 with Vulkan. It was also recommended to download the aircraft again from the store due to the file size – over 500MB of changed files.

The changelog is long, and I highly recommend you read through it, but I will try to summarize the most important things here. Probably the most interesting new feature, in this version, is the new engine option. Based on the changelog, the engine model is still experimental and is about 8% more powerful than GE engines.

Fuel systems have also been improved, for example, APU now requires fuel to run on the ground, the fuel balance system has been added together with the central tank scavenge system.

Custom Flight Controls have been added to the aircraft featuring custom autobrakes, spoiler handle action added, roll tiller above 45kts is now disabled, added EICAS messages for FCTL/Hydraulics or dynamic flap timing and order, for example.
