Mango Studios, a team of developers known for their soundpacks and aircraft modifications for the X-Plane platform, has released Skiathos Airport Scenery for X-Plane 12.
Features of the Scenery
The scenery was built using 4K PBR textures on the terminal and surrounding airport buildings. Mango Studios has incorporated custom textures for the runway and ground surfaces around the apron and perimeter roads. In addition, a pre-made orthophoto tile and custom terrain mesh are also included.

The scenery features 3D volumetric grass and dense 3D forests. Clutter objects, such as streetlights and road signs, are accurately placed around the airport. Custom night lighting, designed to match the real-world tone, also features in the scenery.

Additional elements of the scenery include custom PBR vehicles located both airside and landside in the airport car park. Support for X-Plane 12’s dynamic weather effects, such as visible puddles during rainy conditions, is implemented in the scenery.
About Skiathos Airport
The airport, officially known as Skiathos Alexandros Papadiamantis Airport (ICAO: LGSK), is located on the Greek island of Skiathos. It is known for its short runway, which measures just over 1,600 meters in length. Despite this, it handles aircraft as big as the Boeing 757-200. It is popular among plane spotters due to the famously low approach pilots are required to carry out, and is also a popular summer tourist destination.
