Maps2Xplane, in cooperation with Albert Ráfols, is proud to present its long-awaited rendition of Tahiti and Windward islands for X-Plane 11 and 12. Being the sequel to their Bora Bora & Leeward Islands scenery, the whole Society Islands archipelago is now available in your simulator.
Welcome to the Society Islands
This scenery brings the Windward Islands to X-plane 11 and 12, located on the eastern part of the Society Islands in the South Pacific, comprised of the islands of Tahiti, Moorea, Tetiaroa, Maiao, and Mehetia. These islands have three airports: Faa’a International Airport (NTAA), Moorea Airport (NTTM), and Tetiaroa Airport (NTTE). There are also three heliports: Taaone (NTHP), Taravao (NTHV), and Afareaitu (NTHF). You can bring a big airliner, do island hopping, or try doing air medical operations on the heliports. Explore the atolls, beaches, and mountainous islands covered in tropical rainforests that the islands offer.
The whole extent of the islands is covered in this package, implementing a custom terrain mesh with photo-realistic textures complemented with dense vegetation and country-typical auto-gen. As well as custom road networks and sea routes populated with dynamic traffic. Apart from the island scenery, high-detailed renditions of the airports and heliports are present, with custom buildings and objects with PBR textures and night textures completed with the implementation of the Scenery Animation Manager (SAM) at the airports.
