Meridian GMT Provides More Information On Upcoming Products at FSExpo 2025

Meridian GMT, a new peripherals manufacturer founded by former Honeycomb Aeronautical CEO Nicki Repenning, recently announced a range of new products that the company is working on. Today, Nicki took to the stage at FSExpo to provide some more information on the expected functionality and pricing of the products, which include a new throttle quadrant, yoke, and flight sim-focused controller.

Tango Plus Throttle Quadrant

The Tango Plus throttle quadrant aims to be a jack-of-all-trades of throttle quadrants. It will feature a modular design in every aspect, allowing users to customize it to their use case. Nicki presented several different configurations and mentioned that all of these configurations and panels will be included with the unit, which he expects will have an MSRP of $349 USD.

General Aviation

Starting with the general aviation configuration, in the middle, it features a radio, com selection, and autopilot panel, all based on Garmin avionics. On the left side of the panel is a screen that, although currently configured as an engine display, will be customizable. Next to the configurable display is a flap lever and carb heat lever. To the right of the radio panels is an annunciator panel that will have custom warnings depending on the aircraft, and that Nicki claimed is also customizable and could be used for other purposes.

Below all these panels is a set of toggle switches that will come with magnetic labels that can be attached. Below these switches are the six levers; these levers will come with various covers for single and multi-engine general aviation configurations. The covers will tell the simulator what configuration is being used and automatically change control profiles to match.

Boeing

The Boeing configuration panel features a Boeing MCP that is intended to be compatible with all Boeing models. Above it is an annunciator panel that, in the final version, will use an LCD screen for custom warnings depending on the aircraft. The gear lever panel in this configuration will have a three-position lever and an autobrake switch, as well as gear position lights.

The Boeing lever cover that will be included is only available for two-engine models and will have detents for the speed brake and flaps levers. The detents included will be for the 737; Nicki expects community creators to create detents for additional Boeing models through the company’s Latitude program. Meridian will also offer a motorized lever add-on, which will make the trim wheel and throttle levers move on their own with autothrottle input; the expected price for this add-on will be approximately $30 USD per motor.

Airbus

The Airbus setup features both the FCP and EFIS on the instrument panel at an 85% scale. The EFIS is based on the latest Airbus models, but should also be compatible with the A320 and A330 series. To the left of the EFIS are three buttons for master warning, master caution, and auto land. To the right of the FCP is the landing gear panel, which has three buttons for autobrake, a switch for antiskid, and lights for the gear position indicators. Like the Boeing and GA configurations, the Airbus will also have a throttle lever cover and Airbus-style throttle levers.

Sierra Plus Yoke

The Sierra Plus is Meridian GMT’s yoke. Like the throttle quadrant, it’s intended to be fully modular, meaning swappable panels and even a detachable yoke handle. The yoke will also be able to handle GA, Boeing, and Airbus configurations. The GA configuration will feature master battery and avionics switches, a small touchscreen display for a chronometer, a set of toggle switches with magnetic labels, and a panel with two rotary magneto switches.

The Boeing configuration will feature an EFIS panel; the same small touchscreen as the GA configuration, but with master warning, caution, and a 737 CAS six-pack; the same set of toggle switches; and a panel with display unit switches. The Yoke handle will feature several buttons, a stick shaker, and as mentioned before, will be easily removable.

Flight Deck

Nicki had an opportunity during the presentation to give an update on a product that he last talked about in 2023 while he was still with Honeycomb, that being the Flight Deck panels (formerly known as Delta Displays). He mentioned that development on these is still ongoing, and that he and his team have come up with some new features for them.

X-Ray Controller

Lastly, Nicki talked a bit about the X-Ray controllers. These are wireless handheld controllers intended specifically for flight simulators. They come with configurable knobs for various aircraft and several buttons. These are the most complete of Meridian’s products; there were even functioning models available to try at the stand in FSExpo. The expected price point for these is $99 USD.

This controller is intended for use both on PC and Xbox. Nicki wrapped up his presentation by mentioning that Meridian GMT is now an officially licensed development partner with Microsoft and will be working with them to ensure that the modularity of Meridian’s products work both on PC and Xbox.
