Microsoft, alongside Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros, brings another collaboration into Microsoft Flight Simulator. With this free expansion, pilots can experience new thematic missions with a new aircraft option to explore the harsh deserts of Arrakis.

Take Command of the Royal Atreides Ornithopter in the World of “Dune”

Microsoft gives us a brief introduction to the expansion in this article on the official Xbox site. In “Dune”, the skies are not filled with modern planes like the Boeing 737 or Airbus A320. However, with this expansion, you can experience flying an Ornithopter. The Ornithopter is a flying machine that uses four precisely tuned oscillating wings to fly. In Microsoft Flight Simulator, you can fly the Royal Atreides Ornithopter variant, which is known for its lightning acceleration, blazing speeds, and precise maneuverability.

Once you have completed the tutorials, you can test your courage and skill by embarking on five-time trials and a rescue mission. However, be mindful of the sandstorms that can engulf the Ornithopter.
