Miltech Simulations Unveils 2025 Roadmap at FSExpo and Shows New Mission Hub

FSExpo 2025 – June 28, 2025

Miltech Simulations, a well-known developer in the Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) community, presented their roadmap for the rest of the year during their showcase at FSExpo 2025. The company revealed a new aircraft, their extended partnership with Blackbird Simulations, and an ambitious new system for mission-based gameplay that is set to reshape the MSFS experience.

Mission Hub: A New Approach to Sim Missions

At the core of Miltech’s presentation was the introduction of the Mission Hub, a new application designed to bring mission-based gameplay to MSFS without relying on the default career mode. The Mission Hub will feature a fully open SDK, enabling third-party developers and creators to build and share their own missions with the community. This collaborative approach aims to bring greater variety in gameplay to flight simulation. The Mission hub will be sold separately, or in bundles with Miltechs aircraft.

New and Upcoming Aircraft

Miltech Simulations also revealed several aircraft projects in development or nearing release:

  • U-2S Spy Plane
The high-altitude spy aircraft will feature both analog and glass cockpit options, along with integration into the Mission Hub system for specialized spy missions.
  • CH-53 Heavy-Lift Helicopter
Further variants of the CH-53 are planned, with full Mission Hub compatibility and aerial refueling capabilities, enhancing realism for helicopter operations.
  • MH-60 Helicopter
Developed in partnership with Blackbird Simulations, this highly detailed model has been created with input from real-world operators, including naval air rescue and coast guard personnel. The MH-60 will include a functional weapon system, Mission Hub integration, and will be priced at $37.99, with a separate bundle option including the Mission Hub. They will release it when they feel ready to – but probably in July 2025.
  • A-1H Skyraider
Another collaboration with Blackbird Simulations, this Vietnam-era aircraft will feature working weapon systems, foldable wings, and even propeller damage modeling. The Skyraider is aimed at users looking for detailed military aircraft within MSFS. The release for the skyraider was announced for Summer 2025.

A Collaborative Year Ahead

Miltech Simulations showed the growing importance of partnerships within the MSFS ecosystem, both with established developers like Blackbird Simulations and the broader community through the Mission Hub SDK. By combining high-fidelity aircraft with dynamic mission capabilities, Miltech appears committed to expanding the boundaries of what’s possible in flight simulation.
