Their ATR

The first aircraft they previewed, is by far the most anticipated. It is their rendition of the ATR for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The team said that it will be a study-level add-on. It will have wear and tear, functional wipers and failures. Over 10 real-world ATR pilots are working on the project.

According to the developers, almost everything is functional and the flight profile is almost ready. They haven’t shared too many previews due to the competition. They intend to release the ATR 72 and 42 as well as the cargo versions. The developer hasn’t disclosed the pricing model or the release date.

Their 737-200

The team said that the coding is ongoing. The well-known Canadian airline, Nolinor gave them access to one of their real 737-200 to record the sounds. The developers are not sure if they will model the original cockpit of the 737-200 or a glass cockpit with an FMS from Universal.

Their SR-71 Blackbird

The second aircraft previewed by Blackbird was their SR-71 Blackbird. They first started it for Prepar3D. When Microsoft Flight Simulator came out, the team revised the model from scratch. The add-on will be pilot only, they won’t bring to life the backseat. The model is pretty much done and they are now starting the painting. According to the developers, the aircraft is finished at 80%.

Their Pilatus PC-6 Porter

Concerning the PC-6, the team said that it is mostly functional. They will be adding a second CDI. The user will have the choice between three tyre options.

Their De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver

Blackbird’s rendition of the DHC-2 Beaver will be a default and freeware aircraft in MSFS. They are aiming at authenticity but because of it being a default it won’t have all the extras. The user will have the choice between two types of tyres. The regular tyres and the amphibs. A tablet will be included to control the aircraft. Thanks to it the user will be for example able to hide or show the canoe.

This aircraft will release as part of the 40th-anniversary edition of the Simulator alongside Inibuilds’ A310 and other aircraft.

Their Bell UH-1H

The team said that their model does fly but most of the instruments don’t work yet. The developer will model the instrument panel vibrations which is a nice touch for a helicopter add-on.

They are also looking at how to make the weapons functional. It is not possible for now. Blackbird’s UH-1H will be compatible with the GTN 750. They are not sure about the pricing model yet. No release date was disclosed.
