MK-Studios Delays Rome Airport for Prepar3D and MSFS

MK-Studios has today taken to their Facebook page to share unfortunate news with the community. Their long-developed and much anticipated Rome Fiumicino Airport (LIRF) scenery that was in the works for Prepar3D and Microsoft Flight Simulator had to be delayed.

With this sad news, the new release is expected to take time in Q1 (Jan – Mar) of 2022. The developers have explained that they encountered issues with recent updates for Microsoft Flight Simulator not allowing them to release the scenery just yet.

On the better side, however, the 3D modelling work of the airport is finished.

There is not much information we know about the scenery apart from that it will offer the usuals. Being it MK-Studios, and estimating based on their previous works, the scenery should offer 4K textures with PBR materials, up-to-date airport layout, animated jetways using GSX, or custom terrain mesh.
