MK-Studios Previews Rovaniemi Airport for MSFS

In a post on their social networks, MK-Studios has shared new previews of their upcoming Rovaniemi Airport (EFRO) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The developers were also confident enough to share a small teaser of the expected release timeframe.

To be a bit more exact, the team from MK-Studios suggested, that as Christmas is coming, so is Rovaniemi Airport. Presumably, suggesting that we can expect the scenery to be released before or during this year’s Christmas.

The scenery’s development is currently progressing as it should with a release expected in the second half of 2021, as planned in the 2021 roadmap. There is, however, yet not much we know about what will it offer apart from the obvious. Thus being: high-resolution textures with PBR materials, partially modelled 3D interior, and accurate airport layout and gate information.

In the second part of the post, the developers from MK-Studios have also addressed the development of Helsinki, and Rome sceneries for the same platform.

With that being said, we can expect some new Rome Airport (LIRF) scenery previews to come soon, and Helsinki Airport (EFHK) scenery is now in the final stage of development with release expected “very soon“.
