MK Studios has recently released its rendition of Key West International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Key West International Airport (ICAO: KEYW) is the southernmost airport in the United States. It features a single runway measuring just over 5,000ft which is positioned along the coastline and surrounded by resorts, white sandy beaches, and turquoise waters. The airport recently underwent ramp renovations to accommodate increased domestic and international traffic from major hubs such as Miami and Philadelphia.

Key Features

The scenery features a range of high-quality 3D models and textures across both landside and airside. Terminal interiors have been modeled and optimized for performance and the ground layout reflects the recent updates, including apron expansions and terminal construction.

MK Studios has also implemented custom jetways which work with walkaround mode, alongside accurate and immersive lighting covering approach, runway, and taxiway lighting. Additional details include uniquely crafted taxiway signage, as well as custom ground service equipment and airport vehicle models placed throughout the airport.

The surrounding area has been dotted with a range of custom points of interest. These include nearby resorts, coastal features, and local landmarks such as the Fort East Martello Museum.

Closing Notes

The scenery is available on the Contrail Store currently listed at €15.99 (excluding VAT), as well as the iniBuilds store and the MK Studios Website. It is exclusive to MSFS 2024 at this time. If you’re interested in other MK Studios sceneries, you can find more of our coverage on them here.
